Hi all,
I have been using Jet Essentials 2012 and linking to NAV for a little while and I can see that when my reports are processing, I am only using 25% of my processor (quad core). I have checked and I am utilising multi-thread on Excel 2010 32-bit but am puzzled why all 4 processors can't be used at one time?
Is there a setting I have to enable or is this an issue with the datasource?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi,
There is a setting in Excel that can be used to enable Excel to use multiple processor cores (Excel Options -> Advanced -> Formulas section). However, I wouldn't recommend enabling it, since it actually can make running reports with Jet slower. Because of the architecture of Excel add-ins and User Defined Functions (not Jet's architecture, Excel's), multiple processors aren't utilized efficiently so enabling the setting can make reports run slower instead of faster. This is counter intuitive, but empirically it appears to be true, so you should leave the "Enable multi-threaded calculation" setting turned off for best performance in Jet.
