Hi all,
I'm a bit puzzled by the fact that in some of my reports containing pivot tables, these are not refreshed after running a report.
As one of the files takes rather a ling time to run, I would want to have it performed in the scheduler, but then the pivot tables must be refreshed automatically.
This report was generated in a previous release of JetReports, so I thought that if I opened it in design-mode, edit a few fields and then save it in JR2011, would solve the problem. That was not so. :(
Anyone there who can help me get this problem solved?
Rgds,
Willem

Jet Reports Historic Posts Official comment Hi Willem,
Well, looking at the code, there is certainly nothing Jet is doing which should prevent them from being refreshed when the report is run via AutoPilot vs. running manually. With a file that large, it is possible that Excel is running out of memory. You could turn on Jet logging and see if there is an error in the log file. I'm not sure how much I'll be able to hep you on the community site; you should probably create a ticket with Jet support for this.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Willem,
I don't remember the exact time frame it was added, but I believe Jet does now refresh pivot tables after a report is run. If you upgrade to Jet Essentials 2012 that may fix the issue for you.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Hughes,
Jet does normally refresh pivot tables automatically, that is why I was puzzled. This feature was one of the reasons to upgrade to Jet 2012 months ago.
When I run the report manually, the pivot tables are refreshing as they are supposed to, but not when run by the scheduler. The report is 16MB; could that be the problem?
I just wondered if there is another way to have them refreshed by Jet, but your answer makes me think I will have to try and get it done by a macro, or just manually…..

Jet Reports Historic Posts Thanks Hughes,
I just might do that as soon as I have something more to go on.
Let's close this topic as we won't get any further.
Thanks for your help.
