Hi All,
I have been asked the question recently whether it is possible to update data back to the NAV database from within a jet report. This is the process:
- Run the report and generate the required data
Modify the data in an offline mode
Have the data update the NAV database
I see 2 main issues with this:
1) I vaguely recall way back when that it might have been possible for the ODBC driver to be configured as a 2 way driver, but I cannot find any resources to see if this is still relevant?
2) If the report is modified "offline", how could I then "Action" the report to update back to the NAV DB and re-establish the connection.
Can anyone confirm whether update to the DB is even possible ? I suspect not anymore ?
if not, then point 2 is obviously redundant :)
