  Perhaps there is an answer ;-):
  
  I have had the same error two days ago (only once).
  I have traced it to the fact Excel has been busy with another task (trying to open a file from our archive system in the background). At that moment there were two Excel instances in the task manager. I guess the start of the JR addon within the background instance has caused that error.
