Hello All,
One of my users saw the error message, "An unexpected error has occurred: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."
The last time we saw this error we were instructed to upgrade to Jet Essentials 2011 which resolved the issue. I haven't found any posts on this. Has anyone else seen or resolved this error?
Thanks,
Tim

Jet Reports Historic Posts hi,
I have Jetreport for a lot of years with different Versions but I didn't have had that error.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Normally restarting Excel or your computer will clear this up and allow you continue working. There are many reasons why this error may occur. One reason may be malware (see link).
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2007-excel/attempted-to-read-or-write-protected-memory/23b0836e-d3a0-451d-804e-597491c1d72f
This could also be related to rights of releasing the memory or it could truly be corrupted.
Try restarting and maybe running MalwareBytes if it continues. You may need to reach out to your IT so they can do some diagnostics if this continues.
Hope this helps.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Thanks Jason.
In regards to the link, "It may simply be a badly written addon". Does Jet qualify as a "badly written addon"? :o
After further troubleshooting, I'm logging this as a badly written report.
