Hello
We are just being exposed to Jet repts. Our consultant prepared a few reports for us. One pulls from NAV2013 and also from a csv file. When I launch the report, the data does not refresh until I first open the csv file in excel and then open the report. Is it possible to have this refresh automatically upon opening the report by itself?
I'm not sure if we are missing some sort of data source config or other
Thank you for any help

Jet Reports Historic Posts There are several "connector" types (e.g., Dynamics NAV, Dynamics GP, Jet Cube, Jet Data Warehouse, and Universal) that can be purchased for use with Jet Essentials.
Excel files can be used as a data source through the Universal connector.
Based on what you've described, I'm guessing that the consultant is drawing data from the CSV file using Excel functionality (versus Jet Essentials functionality). In this way, the consultant was able to access additional data without the cost involved in obtaining a separate connector license from Jet Reports.
This method would require that the CSV file be already opened and available for Excel to contact when you open the report itself.
I hope that helps.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Thx for replying
I believe there is an NL function tied to the data in the CSV
would that mean she used some sort of universal connector?
