Hi Ravi,
I'm not able to replicate the error. Even if I change my Windows region settings to use the Pound symbol instead of the Dollar sign, the formatting to $, it remains as I changed it in Excel even after a refresh.
Are you making this formatting change while in Design mode or Report mode? It is possible that it is pulling the formatting from your database?
You may want to submit a ticket so they can look at the report while in Design and Report mode.

please help me with the enclosed file where in row 18 in Total and Branch sheet( with replicator function) for amounts format changed from Pound symbol to dollar but when run the report other additional sheets that being replicated still coming with pound symbol not sure from where that pound symbol is coming from ??

Thsnks for the reply the file I enclosed earlier was removed the dollar sign , instead kept as accounting so in the situation these two sheets and additional replicated sheets are fine but if I keep the dollar sign in the first two sheets in design mode and run the report then first two sheets are still ok with dollar sing only but all the additional replicated sheets are with pound sign instead of dollar
