HI All,
I am relatively new to Jet. I work for an accountancy firm. We have created detailed management accounts reports for an external client in Excel that are driven by Jet Reports, both as tables and as NL GL formulae embedded within the P&L/BS. The client has neither Jet nor MS Nav installed on their machines (and are not likely to).
I am worried that when they open the file in normal excel , the NL And GL formula will calculate as #Name or #N/A as this happens when i open it in a normal non Jet version on Excel. I have added Auto+Hide+Values to all the sheets but this continues to happen. I could theoretically write a macro that would copy and paste all the values when i am happy to send a version to the client, but i would like something a little smoother.
Any ideas?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi -
Adding +VALUES to cell A1 should remove all Jet functions from that page of your workbook and replace those with the values returned by those functions. You can then then save the workbook (while still in REPORT, not DESIGN, mode) and distribute the workbook to other folks that do not have the Jet Essentials add-in installed in their Excel.
Since there are no Jet functions in the workbook, Excel will not try to call the Jet Essentials add-in to calculate those functions - thus leaving the values that were present when you saved the report.
Keep in mind, all of this is dependent upon the two steps:
1) running the report while cell A1 is set to AUTO+HIDE+VALUES
2) saving the workbook while it is in REPORT mode (i.e., you have run it and *not* clicked back on the DESIGN button)
If you are somehow experiencing different functionality when both steps are in place, you will want to contact Jet Reports Technical Support (https://support.jetreports.com/) to have them dig-in to what's going on with your report. -

Jet Reports Historic Posts I was expecting Column A and Row 1 to be deleted at a minimum, along with any other columns marked with Hide, but they are not deleted. It appears that all that +Values does is do a copy and paste values behind the scenes. So all of the ugly data strings returned by NL functions are still there, etc. I'm a newbie, so is this the expected behavior?

This issue was reported in 2016. Are you still having the same issue? If so, my assumption is that you have not contacted Jet Reports Support as of yet. I would recommend doing so. You can simply send an email to Support@jetreports.com
All the recommendations submitted in these posts should have been sufficient unless there is a disconnect between what is being described as the issue and what the actual issue is that you are experiencing.
As Ravi had suggested, send across a copy of the report so the issue can be investigated further. You should also provide that when emailing Jet Support for assistance.
