Thanks for the reply Cynthia,
I'll pass this all onto out IT dept.
We have set up GP2015 as a datasource and successfully tested it, however, if you try to run a report against this datasource, we get the following message 'Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed.'
I guess this may well be a licensing issue.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi,
I have a relatively simple question. Is it possible to connect to 2 separate Dynamics GP databases from Jet?
We're currently upgrading from GP2010 to GP2015, both running on separate servers and we would like to use Jet to help compare results from both databases / check user security settings.
Cheers for any help,

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello NorfickCitizen-
Since your GP databases are on two separate servers, you should be able to connect to them via two separate data source connections.
There is a caveat to that.
If the GP 2010 and GP 2015 both have separate licenses, you would need to find out I your Jet License allows for multiple connector licenses.
If it does, you would need to contact the regional license department to have them add the additional connector license to your Jet License so that you may be able to connector to both databases.
If/when this work has been done, you should then be able to reactivate your Jet License.
Create a separate additional data source to connect to the GP 2015. Test for connectivity.
Does that make sense?
Cheers. -
Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello NorfickCitizen,
Regarding this error "Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed', please take a look at the below Knowledge Base article for how-to resolve:

Jet Reports Historic Posts Thanks Cynthia,
Your link has helped to solve the problem. The required Native Client wasn't installed, meaning the GP2015 connection couldn't run reports.
Thanks again,
Wilf
