Update Sample Report Pivot Table Data Source

 Hiya Guys!

 

I'm new to NAV 2017/Jet Professional - and new to the Forum (first post!)... hopefully you clever lot will be able to help...  :-)

 

I'm wanting to update a Sample Report (namely "NAV003 - Customer Sales and Profitability.xlsx") so that I can Slice the Pivot Table by a Field which is currently not available (I basically need to update the Pivot Table's Data Source).

 

Does anyone know if this is possible?

  Hello Steven,

   

  First, we have updated the other topic that you linked to so that the link within it works now if you wish to review it.

  Second, you can download the Table Builder .xml for that report in the following knowledgebase article: Table Builder Sample Templates

  With the template you can open the Table Builder and go to File > Open > select the NAV003 template .xml and build a new version of the same table.

  Third, the named range for the table is created via the "TableName=" filter in the NL(Table) function. As long as the field exists in the NL(Table) then it should be accessible in any Pivot Table that is associated with that named range. The named range gets recreated each time the report is refreshed so it will only exist while in Report Mode.

  Please let me know if this is not enough information to get your issue resolved and if not, you can always attach a copy of your report with some more detail as to what you wish to do and I would be happy to take a look at it for you.
