Hi,
I am using GP 2010 on Windows 2008 (SP1) and I wanted to check the sample reports.
Whenever I go to install Jet Essential, it given an Error: Login failed for user 'Domain\User'
I have checked the user in SQL security and Login and everything seems perfect.
Also can I install Jet Essential on Windows 2003 Server (SP2) ?
Looking for help/support.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi.
At what point in the install process do you see the error message?
During install?
After clicking "Finish"?
While the Jet add-in is being enabled?
Does the message actually show the words "domain" and "user" or does it show your actual domain and user name?
Regarding Windows Server 2003. While it may be possible to install on that version (or XP), those older OS are no longer tested or officially supported –> http://jetexpressforgp.jetreports.com/e … tarted.php -
Jet Reports Historic Posts It is giving me error in start of installation. (view the attached screen shots).
I tried to go with 2 different Run AS options but every time, I got the same ERROR on next screen.
Windows/System is login with the same Domain/Administrator account.
I am installing Both SERVER and CLIENT Components on this 2008 Server machine. -
Jet Reports Historic Posts (as a side note: as you are working with Jet Essentials {and not Jet Express} you may want to post future questions to the Jet Reports Community Site {https://community.jetreports.com} rather than this site for Jet Express)
The error would tend to indicate that the account you are running is not able to log in to SQL and create the "JetServices" database.
Are you able to use the credentials to log in to your SQL server using SSMS and create a test database? -
Jet Reports Historic Posts Yes you are right. I am login (windows domain login) on my system with Domain\Administrator account.
My SQL Server Service is running (Log On As) Domain\AdminGP account. (AdminGP is also a user of Domain Admin group of active directly and was selected at time of SQL Installation.
Although Doamin\Administrator account has assign Server Role sysadmin but it is not getting login.
In SQL Server Properties "SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode" is selected.
Everything seems ok but I can login only with SA login (SQL SERVER AUTHENTICATION) but not with Windows Authentication.
I also tried with SQL Server Management by running as Administrator.
But no success and still cannot connect via Windows Authentication.
Any help please? -
Jet Reports Historic Posts As a Jet Essentials user, I would recommend that you contact Jet Reports Technical Support (https://support.jetreports.com).
