I have a report that shows a detailed list of SDW's (quotes) for a specific sales rep during a specific time period. If I change the time period range on the options page to include the entire year, will the report update automatically (add the the most current SDW's) every time the sales rep opens the report? What if they are not a JetReports user? I think it updates for me automtically, but I am a designer.
I have attached the report, in case it helps.SDWs.xls

Jet Reports Historic Posts Charmillion,
Your saless Rep(s) would need to be a liscensed "User" to enable the report to be refreshed into real time. It will update for you as a designer as you say, and anyone with user access can also update. People with no Jet access will just receive an Excel spreadsheet with data.
Solution therefore purchase user liscenses for the Rep(s) concerned or refresh the report on their behalf. You could for example schedule the report to run everyday/night/period of your chosing and automatically e-mail the rep(s) the refreshed report.
If anyone else has a better way of solving this I would be very intereted to hear myself.
Hope this is of some use,

Jet Reports Historic Posts Thanks for your help. I thought as much. I haven't used the schedule feauture yet. I will play with it today. Can anyone give me any tips regarding schedules?

Jet Reports Historic Posts My experience with the scheduler is I get best results if I leave Outlook open. This could complicate things if you're running a terminal server/citrix solution. There is currently no POP/SMTP engine built into Jet.
With some of my advanced reports I run into size issues - which results in the report sitting in my outbox due to rejection by the mail server. Not a Jet issue specifically but something to watch out for. -
Jet Reports Historic Posts I do appreciate the heads up. I am running a citrix solution.
I will try it this afternoon.
