I am quite new to Jet and am working on some financial reports. We have additional dimensions set up in our GL other than Global Dimensions 1 and 2. The table I'm pulling data from is the GL Entry table and the other dimensions are not available there for filtering. How do I set up my report to be able to pull the GL entry amounts by both account and all our dimensions?
Thanks for your help!

Jet Reports Historic Posts Jet Reports has a feature called Advanced dimensions, which allows you to filter on any dimension in the ledger entry table. You don't need to join the tables yourself - Jet Reports does the trick for you. All you have to do is enter the Dimension Code as a field:
E.g. =NL("Rows","G/L Entry",,"Account no.","FilterForGlAccounts","Posting date","FilterForDate","NameOfDimension3","FilterForDim3", etc…)
You may find more info on Advanced dimensions in the Jet Reports Help or if you browse this forum.
From personal experience I have a remark: the G/L Entry table may be a huge table and doing the Advanced dimension trick may take a lot of time. To increase performance I recommend you to have a look at the option to create an Analysis view in Financial management. That will give you the G/L info (Account no, Date, Amounts (actual and budget)) and up to 4 Dimensions (any 4 dimensions) in just 1 single table (Analysis view entry). If you then base your Jet Reports report on that table it should be performing much better.
