Dates retrieve from NAV is 40686?

When I retrieve "last date used" field from Table 309 No. Series Line. It's showing 40686 instead of 23-05-2011.

So how do I add a formula in Excel to convert 40686 to 23-05-2011? My guess is that it is 40686 days from 01-01-1900 right?

  Just convert the cell format to date and Excel will convert the numbers to the correct dates automatically.
