Well, I've done this several times but this time, for some reason, I can't get it to work.
I'm probably missing something, but if someone can point me to my error, that would be brilliant:

=NL("Rows";"Item";;"-=NL(""Sum"";""Sales Invoice Line"";""Line Amount"";""Type"";""Item"";""No."";NF(;""No."");""Posting Date"";$D$2))";"*")
Edit: same error with or without field parameter.

So, I made the formula as easy I could make it, but it still returns the same error (see attachment):

An unexpected error has occurred: The function cannot be tokenized because it contains a syntax error.

System.ArgumentException

Like I said, I probably overlooked something.
We are running 10.1.11040 on Excel 2007, I'm going to upgrade the Jet version now and see if that helps.

  Just succesfully installed 11.1.11356, no changes, same error.

  I am logging an issue to get this fixed. However, I want to repeat my previous statement. The community site is not designed for unexpected exception errors like this. This is not because we don't want to know about the error; it is because this is an error we absolutely want to see and get fixed. There is no guarantee that a Jet representative will be monitoring the community site, so we would really appreciate if you to report errors of this kind via our support site so that they are guaranteed to get looked at. The community site is for members of the Jet community to help one another use the product more effectively. Thanks!
