Hey guys,
Been over Google and the forums here and there isn't much mention of JetActivator.exe.
Just wondering if there is a command-line switch /S or something similar to suppress the message box that appears (when successful) - unless there is an error, naturally! ;)
Not sure where else I can look!
Regards,
Stephen

Jet Reports Historic Posts Official comment Hi Stephen,
If you run Jet.Activator.exe at the command line with /? you will get a list of its command line arguments. As you can see, the /V command line argument is what causes Jet.Activator.exe to display messages during activation. The shortcut to the activator created by the Jet installer uses /V so that the activator displays messages for success, failure, etc. If you run the activator without the /V argument, it will run silently and you will not see any messages or UI during the activation. Does this work for you?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Hughes,
Ah, so for the uninstaller, to remove messages about uninstalling it (I know - NOT a good idea, but just 'if' I wanted), I could have just the /U option instead of /V /U…
Running it without the arguments is perfect for me.
What happens is that sometimes the Jet add-in does not appear in Excel on an automated Jet Reports "server" that I have here powering updates to 2 32" LCD displays running Powerpoint. Sadly, as I run the reports without displaying them to the screen, I don't see this add-in not running, so the sheets end up out of date pretty quickly.
Just going to run the activator silently first thing in the morning should solve the problem.
Anyway, sounds good to me what you are suggesting - thank you!
Regards,
Stephen
