Change format after refresh->design

I have a simple general ledger, with numbers starting with a zero

after refreshing my report and then clicking on Design, the GL numbers are formatted into "general".

now the GL numbers starting with a zero are changed and the report does not work properly anymore

is there a solution for this?

  What version of Jet are you using and what formula are you using to replicate the data?

  Hi,
  I am using nr 12.0.1287.0
  
  the formula used is: =GL("Saldo";$A8;"01-sep-2012";"30-sep-2012")
  in which A8 is the reference to the GL account number

  No, I'm referring to the formula which replicates the G/L Account Numbers. Is that an NL(Rows) formula? What does that look like?

  Maybe you should just attach the report. You can keep in design mode or run it against a CRONUS database so it doesn't have your data in it.
