Retrive date from Date filter

Is there a what to retrieve the start date or end date from a NP date filter?

I can use left() and right() formulas in excel, but its a bit clunky.

  Most NP(DateFilter) functions have a cell reference to the start and/or end dates. Couldn't you just use the same cell reference to the cell actually containing the start date or end date? If your start and/or end dates are hard coded inside the NP(DateFilter) function, I would recommend just putting the dates each in their own cells and referencing those cells. Does this help?
