Hello,
We understand that users who will receive JET Reports and wish to drill-down to the NAV Data will need both NAV and JET Reports installed on their PC.
Is there specific setup that will be needed to install JET for viewers (ie: like adding them to the database security)?
I’ve tried to look for this topic on JET Reports knowledge base but do not see anything.
Thanks!

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello mfield,
There is no specific or separate installation method of Jet Essentials that is needed for Viewers.
The installation is the same across board.
Viewers statuses are determined based on domain and Windows user ID and Excel user name (if using older version of Jet pre-Jet Essentials 2013) and this is used to Authenticate the user.
Drilldown settings are setup the same as long as the data source settings are configured correctly with the RTC directory path, server, port and instance.
If these are setup correctly, and the viewer is able to refresh the report, then they should be able to drill-down based on the settings configured in the data source settings.
And in order to drilldown using the RoleTailored Client, it is required that NAV be installed locally as this is when the RTC folder directory is then called into use in the settings.
Please let us know if you have any more questions.
