I am new to the table builder function and trying to figure my way around it.
I was wondering if anyone knows if it is at all possible to apply a group in a table? I have pulled out a list of customers and their orders and I want to group on the customer number. I know it is possible to put the information into a pivot table but wondered if there is a way to put it directly into the table?

The NL(Table) function is design to do just that… create an Excel table that can then be manipulated using Excel's pivot capabilities.
For grouping, you would want to build a grouping report such as described in the Grouping Reports videos
