I'm using Table Builder to retreive Sales Shipment Lines. I then use a Pivot Table to show average quantities and average number of items per order.
My issue is with the average quantities. As some orders have more than one entry in the table, the average is based on the number of entries. So the average will be an average by item not by order.
Is there a way to group by order and summarize in Table Builder so then the Pivot Table will show me the average I need?

You could have a pivot table showing the orders and their totals, and then just use Excel to compute the average...
In this example, the calculation assumes that the total is being displayed at the bottom of column B. If you exclude that total, the calculation is much easier.

Yes, that is one solution if I want the overall average. But I also group by shipping date so I'd like the average to be in one of the colums so we don't have to select different dates.
