Yet other issues appearing with Jet Reports Express for NAV 18.0.18039.1

I an trying to use it to create a useable Summary income statement. I have created it and it looks good. I save it. 

I realize I forgot a supplemental line and I open the report again. Move to the Jet tab. It is in Report mode so I switch it to Design mode to make the change.

When it switches to design mode it inserts a bogus line and randomly changes all the formatting reduring the 4-5 hours building it kinda useless.

I was considering upgrading to professional after our 2018 upgrade but that is now in major doubt.

Anyone at Jet want to help me out with these issues?

  Hello Michael -

  When you state that an extra line is inserted, are you referring to Row 1?  (which is required for any Jet report).

  Or is there some other issue?

  What type of formatting are you losing in the process?

  And you state that the report enters Report mode without you doing that, correct?  Are you able to duplicate this issue?  If so, it can be arranged for you to create a log file and submit it to the Jet Technical Support Team to see what's forcing Excel to do that.

  This unrelated to the previous issue.  

  I have the file saved in a satisfactory layout. I open it and it's in the report mode.

  I switch from report mode to designer mode and it creates inserts a line after the final line of the original report. It also changes the font size and bolds a line that was not bold and increases it's font size. I can't post screen shots because of the confidentiality of the data.

  I can replicate it every time on this spreadsheet but I can't give it to ----I can only display in a join.me session.

  It's like the file is corrupt and when it's restoring the formulas it is confused by the saved formatting.

  I tried refreshing to see if it corrects itself ---no.

  I tried switching it back to report and see if it displayed as originally formatted - no.

  I updated my Jet Express to the latest version -- no go. 

  I tried in Excel 2010 and 2016 no go.

  so I can create a log file, let me know how!

  There is a Logging section in the App Settings.

  Enable that, duplicate the issue (starting from your "clean" version and then duplicate the changes), and then submit a support request - sending the log file(s).

  While Jet Express is typically supported through this Community forum or your Dynamics Solutions Provider, given the confidentiality of your situation, we (obviously) cannot explore details, here. The Jet Support Team will be able to examine the log files.
