Like the title says, Excel 2016 is routinely crashing when working in Design mode. It appears to be the standard Microsoft "crash" message so no real information is available. This does not happen outside of Design mode. Any information would be most appreciated.

Harry Lewis Hello Keven -
You could try using the Windows Event Viewer:

In there, your best options for finding what might be happening would be the System log and Microsoft Office Alerts. You might also check the Jet Reports log (if the Jet Excel add-in was doing anything when the issue occurred, some information may be in that log):

If you are able to duplicate the issue, you would probably want to submit a support request with to the Jet Tech Support team.

Kevin Nickson Thank you for your reply Harry. For some reason, my servers do not have the Jet Reports Event Viewer category. The Microsoft Office Alerts only list items such as "Do you want to save this document". There are no actual errors at all. I can clearly see the events corresponding to the Excel crashes.

Pippa McCracken are you using the very latest version of Jet? we had similar problems until we updated, Office 2016 is being updated so regularly at the moment that we have had to update jet regularly to avoid these issues.
