Data Bar Formatting

I have a simple list that sums the daily order amount by customer, with an overall total at the bottom of the column.  This is sorted by descending amount.

In the adjacent column I'm calculating a percentage of the total for each customer.

I'm then applying a data bar conditional formatting on the percentage field.

When I run the report the top 2 cells are always fully filled even when the 2nd cell percentage is half the 1st.  All other cells are filled correctly based on the percentage.

I'm running Jet v18 with Excel 2010.

Any help appreciated.

  in my experience, conditional formatting does not replicate quite the way you might expect.

  Example, if you put a conditional format in cells D5 & D6, then a rows replicator in row 5, when row 5 replicates the conditional format actually makes a copy of itself for the replicated range.

  so if your rows replicator creates 5 rows in addition to row 5 (a total of 6 rows with data), you end up with one conditional format for row 5 and row 11 (which was row 6 before the report ran), and another conditional format for rows 6 through 10.

  I have not found a way around this, except to wait until after the report runs to build the conditional format.  Hopefully someone has a better suggestion.

  Thank you for pointing that one out Harry - no, I had not selected that option (probably because I didn't have Excel 2010 when I started learning Jet :) )

  Micheal - that may be what you are experiencing as well.
