Hello, I am planning to upgrade out Jet Reports from 19 to 20. I just wanted to ask if there was anything that I needed to do differently, because I noticed that there were some changes in the Client installer where it had some additional options for login and other things. Also can you please give me some pointers that would be helpful to do this.

Harry Lewis Hello Sandeep.
Yes, the install has changed, somewhat. Some options have been combined while others have been added (for example: the ability to install in Azure Active Directory environments). The default install environment (Active Directory) is the most common.
There are a some videos that describe the process of installing the Active Directory server components and performing the configuration of those, as well as installing just the Jet Reports Excel add-in.
Those can all be found in the Administrator's Installation and Setup Guide.

Sandeep Kuntam Hello Harry,
Thanks for the Setup guide, was not sure you guys had updated the setup guide. I was able to upgrade the Jet Service Tier on the server as suggested on the video. But after installing it seems the client is unable to connect to Jet Service Tier. I went to services on the server to check if the Jet Service Tier was running and I restarted the service just to make sure.. But seems like I am unable to connect to the Jet Service Tier either on the Excel Add on or the Admin Console. I have put in a service request but if you can give me some kind of direction to troubleshoot it would be greatly appreciated. I have tried to repair the Jet Service Tier install, I have restarted the server. I dont know what else I can do. This upgrade was from Version 19.1.18296.2 to the latest 20.0

Harry Lewis Hello Sandeep.
If there is some issue with connecting to the Jet Service Tier, the Jet Tech Support team is your best choice to help you troubleshoot what is interfering.

Kupor Pál Hello!
I have the same issue with Jet Service Tier.
I installed first time 20.3.19246.1 version and when i want to Connect with Jet Administration Console i get the same error message:
Unable to connect to the Jet Service Tier. Unable to authenticate your user account. Try singing out and singing back in again.
I installed the service with this guide: https://support.jetglobal.com/hc/en-us/articles/223201028-Installing-the-Jet-Service-Tier

Sandeep Kuntam Hello Kupor,
what I learnt from Jet support was that, FQDN is the only configuration that will work in Jet Reports 2019 R2. So in the Jet Administration console when you select Settings for the server mention the FQDN (fully qualified domain name) for the server and it should work.

Henry Bakker Hello,
After upgrading to the latest version, I can not connect to the Jet Service Tier. I also get this error:
"Unable to connect to the Jet Service Tier. Unable to authenticate your user account. Try singing out and singing back in again.".
When I reinstall the Service Tier and create a new database instead of upgrading the existing database, I can connect to the Service Tier! But that's not what I want, because I than have to recreate all datasources, permissions etc...
