Good Morning,
We are trying to delete a task from within the Scheduler in Jet and we get this error. We are at a loss as to what this could be. The spreadsheet itself can be deleted, cells and columns deleted, and tasks can be created, but the task can't be edited or deleted. This happens with our second designer license. The first designer license can delete. Any suggestions you might have would be appreciated.
"The task could not be deleted. The following error was reported: Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))"
Thanks,
Safari Micro

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Safari Micro,
Your user is running into a permissions issue trying to create a windows task on their machine. There are a couple Knowledge base articles on the Jet Reports Support site concerning required permissions for using the Jet Scheduler. The shorter version which will probably fix your issue is here:
http://support.jetreports.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=125
The longer, much more detailed version which includes all the permissions for Windows Vista/7 and various network related issues is here:

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello Rmw,
Those links are pointing to the old *discontinued* Jet Reports Support site.
Please see the below links.
The first link should help you address the Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)) error.

Additionally, it would be helpful to you if you review the entire list of permissions required to run the Jet Scheduler.
